Joel Ickes

Growing up in Michigan, I started in baseball at a very young age but was immediately captivated by ice hockey, quickly becoming a standout player. Whether it was dominating on the baseball diamond or showcasing impressive slap-shots on the ice rink, I excelled in pretty much every sport I tried. Years later, my dad introduced me to pickleball. I was hooked and determined to master the game. I loved the game and the people!  After accumulating dozens of medals and climbing through the skill levels, I earned the opportunity to turn pro. In 2020, I joined the Level-Up Pickleball Team, and have found my home sharing and teaching this game I love! Through my years of play I have learned wonderful techniques to improve my game. Pickleball is my passion and I have been graced with the patience to pass on pickleball techniques to those I teach! I am one of the fortunate few who get to love going to work!
